Theres been a 250 percent rise in the cases of some tropical diseases here.
Over the past six years, Irish doctors have delt with previously rare illnesses here including leprosy, dengue fever, Zika virus and West Nile fever.
Cases of chikungunya, giardiasis, malaria and typhoid were also recorded according to the Irish Independent.
In 2013 a total of 143 cases of all eight diseases was registered- that soared to 357 in 2017.
