To smoothly promote the provincial echinococcosis prevention and control work and achieve the goal of echinococcosis transmission control as soon as possible, the Yunnan Institute of Parasitic Diseases Prevention and Control held the 2024 Yunnan Provincial Echinococcosis Diagnostic Technology Training Course in Chenggong District, Kunming from August 12 to 14. Yang Yaming, Deputy Director of the Yunnan Institute of Parasitic Diseases Prevention and Control, delivered an opening speech. Many experts and teachers gave detailed explanations and introductions on the etiology of echinococcosis, the epidemic and prevention and control status of echinococcosis in Yunnan Province, prevention and control and surveillance plans, comprehensive prevention and control implementation plans, health literacy project plans, epidemic site investigation and disposal plans, echinococcosis ultrasound diagnostic technology, laboratory testing technology, echinococcosis diagnosis, treatment and reporting, and echinococcosis patient assistance management and subsidy measures. Through on-site theoretical teaching and exchanges, personnel from disease control institutions at the provincial, prefecture, city, and county (district) levels in our province have gained a more detailed and comprehensive understanding of echinococcosis diagnostic technology and prevention and control work, improved the ability of professional and technical personnel to recognize, diagnose, and carry out echinococcosis prevention and control work, strengthened the construction of the provinces parasitic disease prevention and control team, and laid a solid foundation for effectively promoting the prevention and control of parasitic diseases such as echinococcosis in our province.
