On September 9, Li Qun, Deputy Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, on behalf of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong, the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences of the City University of Hong Kong. In the future, the four institutions will carry out cooperation in the fields of technical research on infectious disease prevention and control, capacity building and talent cultivation, public health policy research, and global health. The signing of this memorandum will facilitate public health cooperation in the Greater Bay Area and the joint prevention and control of infectious diseases between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.
