From October 21 to 22, Shen Hongbing, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Administration of Disease Control and Prevention, visited Guangdong Province for a special deployment and guidance of dengue fever prevention and control work. During this period, he held a symposium on epidemic prevention and control for the whole province and key areas, listened to reports on the epidemic situation and progress of prevention and control work in Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City, and Foshan City, and went to epidemic-affected villages, streets, and medical institutions for case treatment in Foshan City to learn in detail about the implementation of measures such as surveillance and early warning, patriotic health campaigns, mosquito vector monitoring and control, epidemic emergency response, case treatment and management, and health education. Shen Hongbing pointed out that Guangdong Province is currently in a critical period of dengue fever prevention and control. The whole province should further enhance its political stance, strengthen organizational leadership, adhere to a problem-oriented approach, deeply analyze and investigate weak links in epidemic prevention and control, leverage the role of relevant departments and grassroots organizations, mobilize forces from the whole society, focus on the prevention and control strategy of "reducing the peak, lowering mosquito vector density, and preventing severe cases," refine and solidify prevention and control measures, and take solid and effective actions to control the epidemic as soon as possible.
