To strengthen the exchange and cooperation of professional technical personnel between China and Bangladesh, the Central Laboratory of Yunnan Institute of Parasitic Diseases conducted systematic training in March for one professional technician from Bangladesh on malaria laboratory testing related technologies, laboratory quality management, biosafety management and the malaria diagnostic reference laboratory system. Detailed explanations and demonstrations were given for key steps and difficult points in PCR experiments. Regarding problems encountered in practical training, the trainee was guided to analyze the causes in combination with experimental principles and operational requirements, and propose effective improvement measures. The training not only improved the laboratory capabilities of the trainee but also strengthened the comprehensive international communication skills of the professional technical personnel of Yunnan Institute of Parasitic Diseases. It provided a good platform and technical support for China and Bangladesh to carry out joint prevention and control of infectious diseases, especially cooperation in the prevention and control of important vector-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue fever between China and Bangladesh.
